Green holidays don’t necessarily need to take place in eco-luxury retreats.
I believe that “green” also implies recycling, re-utilizing and re-purposing resources (re-re-re-re) which would otherwise be considered waste and eliminated. This also applies to travel experiences.
I though of consulting my favorite source of holiday home rentals, Air B&B, to see if I could find something that exemplified this diverse ethos of traveling. I discovered an amazing listing by Madame Véronique in Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon, Rhone-Alpes, France.
“Les Anges” and “La Vie en Rose” are two beautifully repurposed and recycled gypsy caravans. Both are decorated with antique furniture and objects. I particularly love the way she kept the colors and essence of the gypsy culture while adapting it to modern times. Check them out below.
Try using this idea when planning your next holiday. And remember that “wherever you go, you can always go green” (by choosing where you stay, what you eat, how you recycle etc.)
“La Vie en Rose”
Don’t you feel transported back in time?
Sadly these two caravans are not available anymore but don’t despair check this other stunning vintage caravan holiday here.
