In this about.me world of facebook, selfies and “i”-phones, the concept of “self care” is often mistaken for how many followers you have on instagram. This amounts to a world where vanity, overindulgence and plain old selfishness have become the norm. But putting yourself first has nothing to do with being selfish. It’s about being self-aware in a divine sense; consciously loving yourself because you know or want to know that you’re innately worth it.

Sounds great in theory. But for most of us, making self-care a priority can be challenging.
