In this about.me world of facebook, selfies and "i"-phones, the concept of "self care" is often mistaken for vanity, overindulgence, or plain old selfishness. For me, however, putting yourself first has nothing to do with being selfish. It's about being self-aware in a divine sense; consciously loving yourself because you know or want to know that you're innately worth it.

Sounds great in theory. But for most of us, making self-care a priority can be challenging.
