Earth Up Your Home Decor

By Oreeko

Ever wondered how to make your home a bit more earthy?

Vintage, rustic and natural decor pieces will help you achieve your goal. These types of decor elements are often simple and beautiful and as such require following one of the basic rules of decoration: Less is More!

So in true green-loving style, first make sure that you don’t have so many things around your house that neither you our your guests know where to look. Then, concentrate on just a few key pieces that really shine and tell a story – things that remind you of what you care about and that tell others something about you.

Finding the perfect earthy item is not hard. There are so many eco-friendly brands out there and – as happens most of the times with every aspect of the “green” life – you’ll often be surprised with one-of-a-kind pieces that have a character and story of their own.

To give you an idea of some trending earthy styles out there, I created a list with some very cool and diverse pieces. As everything that I present on the blog, all of the following items are from eco-friendly, organic, fair-trade or sustainable brands. And of course, I found all of these companies by running a search on the Green Business Directory. The palette I’ve gone for is very neutral but I’ve added different kinds of textures that pop and can fit perfectly with any house decor you may already have.
