Dr. Jennifer Freed, Ph.D.
Dr. Jennifer is the co-founder/director of the highly successful teen program called AHA!, which serves more than 5000 families annually in the state of California. Founded in response to the Columbine tragedy, AHA! is a donation based/volunteer organization that uses peace building techniques to help put an end to violence. AHA’s flagship program, Peace Builders is an initiative that began in 2013 to build community and increase acceptance and understanding between teen peers. Participants hail from all walks of life - from students who want to develop life skills and confidence to victims of physical and sexual abuse, to at-risk youth. AHA! creates positive attitudes, social harmony and bridges the achievement gap. Dr. Freed has authored the educational book series “BECOME YOUR BEST SELF” which includes workbooks on Relationship Wisdom, Character, Compassion and Creative Expression as part of her efforts to bring outstanding social and emotional learning curriculum to teens and their families. Along with Josh Wand, Dr. Jennifer invented a web application PEACEQ which tracks pro social behaviors of teens in their schools and has already broken records for student participation in creating peaceful behaviors on campus. Dr. Jennifer Freed writes for a vast audience from her playful books THE ULTIMATE PERSONALITY GUIDE and LESSONS FROM STANLEY THE CAT to her educational workbooks which include THE BECOME YOUR BEST SERIES and THE AHA! METHOD BOOKS.
