After 15+ years building successful businesses in the sustainability and holistic health industries, Michael launched Conscious Planet Media in 2006 with his wife and partner, Bianca. Conscious Planet Media produces original TV, documentary and online programming to create a more just, sustainable and peaceful world. Michael oversees the production, technology and distribution of Conscious Planet Media’s numerous multi-platform media properties.

In 2010, as a health broadcast journalism fellow with the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School of Communications, Michael was awarded a prize for Excellence in Health Care Journalism by the Association of Health Care Journalists for an episode of the Soul of Green on the food desert crisis in Chicago. Michael is also the chief correspondent for Conscious Planet Media’s newest series, Triple Bottom Line, a news show about socially responsible business.
